My Story So Far

Hi, I'm Victoria — founder of The Little Hippo Co.

I started this business during lockdown, in my garage, with a small laser machine and a simple idea — to create something for my own home.

At the time, I had no big plan. Just a love for design, a need for creativity, and a feeling that the little details in a home really matter.

What I didn't expect was how quickly it would grow.

The pieces I created — especially my signature door toppers — found their way into homes all across the UK. But more than that, they connected with people. They became part of nurseries, children's rooms, and spaces filled with meaning.

And that's something I'll never take lightly.

Over time, a loyal community formed around Little Hippo. Customers came back again and again, supporting me, sharing their spaces, and becoming part of the journey in a way I never imagined when I first switched that machine on in my garage.

As the designs grew in popularity, they were widely imitated — which, in many ways, showed just how much they resonated. But it also pushed me to pause, reflect, and think about what I really wanted this brand to stand for.

So I stepped back.

And now, I'm rebuilding The Little Hippo Co with even more intention.

This next chapter is about staying true to where it all started — thoughtful design, genuine care, and creating pieces that feel special — while raising the standard in everything I do.

Because this has never just been about products.

It's about the feeling they bring into your home.
